The fans are fed up. It is hard to blame them.
Watch the reaction above. This is what happens when watching your own offense starts feeling like a punishment. South Florida fans want touchdowns and a reason to trust the next possession. Instead, the conversation keeps coming back to whether Tim Beck should still have the job.
Enough with asking everyone to be patient. Beck is an experienced coordinator, not an intern trying to find the stadium. Getting a functional offense onto the field is the assignment. Fans should not have to lower their expectations until an ordinary drive feels like a miracle.
And spare us the idea that frustration means people do not support the team. Wanting better for these players is exactly why the coaching deserves scrutiny. They deserve a plan that helps them, and South Florida deserves more than another afternoon spent hoping the offense figures itself out.
My halftime verdict: Hartline needs to demand better from Beck now. If Beck cannot deliver it, change who runs the offense. The fans have already supplied enough patience.
